About Mongolian Association of Tour Operators (MATO)
Mongolian Association of Tour Operators (MATO) is a non-profit Association
established in 2021 by licensed tour operators in order to develope and
promote the tourism Mongolia. Currently, MATO is comprised of 40 licensed
members. Our Association is led by a team of Board of Directors who are
elected every 2 years. The Association operates from its office located
in Ulaanbaatar.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS /2021-11-10/
1. Travelers arriving from abroad to Mongolia 14 days after
receiving the full dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine or recovered from
COVID-19 within the last 4 months (must provide proof) are exempted from the 14
day self-isolation.
2. Travelers who are not fully vaccinated or arriving to
Mongolia within 14 days after receiving the full dose of the coronavirus
(COVID-19) vaccine or are unable to provide proof their recovery from COVID-19
within the last 4 months are subject to 14 day self-isolation.
3. Travelers (excluding children of age 0-5) entering to
Mongolia are subject to PCR tests at the border checkpoints.
4. Travelers entering to Mongolia must present proof of a negative PCR
test taken within 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation
point. In case of a positive PCR test, the passenger must present proof

From October 15, 2021, foreign tourists will no longer be isolated.
Regulations updated for issuance of Mongolian visa/2021-08-16/
The Electronic Visa Application System has been officially launched in Mongolia through the website www.evisa.mn from 1 October.
So far, nationals of 36 countries will be able to obtain visas for the purposes of tourism (K2), participating in sports, culture and arts events (K4), and transit (K6).
The updated regulation for the issuance of Mongolian visa was approved through Government resolution no.192 issued in July 2021. The template for the electronic visa and the list of countries whose nationals are eligible for obtaining the visas have been recently approved by a joint order of the Minister of Justice and Home Affairs and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
